FAQ:

Do you have a phone number?

Since we both work different day jobs and can’t receive other calls while there, we have opted not to have a posted phone number on our site. However, we are more than happy to hop on a call when it is convenient for both of you and us. We love talking with a customer to help them select the best tool for the job, . If you fill out the Contact Us page, we will follow up to set up a call.

Where are your products made and do you make them?

All of the products are curated from the US. We do not personally make them but we are long-term family or friends with all the makers.

All of the steel W. W. Mfg., have been made by Stefanie’s family for over 65 years. Her mom and uncle still run the business that was started her German welder Opa. The tools have mainly been marketed to the landscaping industry for years and we are bringing them to the discerning homeowner and gardener who really appreciates high-quality tools. The products have been made in Bridgeton, NJ, the whole time and we have some employees that have been welders there for almost 40 years. The work has never been outsourced.

The CobraHead is made in Wisconsin and is still a family run business. We took over selling them at the Philadelphia Flower Show when the creator was getting too old to travel for the show. The show is huge and he successfully sold them there for many years. We have women coming up to our booth, grabbing the tool on our bench and exclaiming, “This is the best weeding tool I ever bought.  I got it here, 15 years ago. I’m buying two today because I lost mine and I want to buy on for a friend!” This happens very, very often and our customers are our best salespeople.

The bug spray we sell at our market events is made for us by a natural skin care expert in S. Jersey.  She extensively researches all the best and natural ingredients to protect the skin from bug bites. We used the spray for a year before bringing it out for sale, because we wanted to make sure it was the best we could provide. We swear by it now. Recently, when out on the boat in the Delaware Bay, we encountered very large greenheads there. They are so big and bite so hard that the locals joke it they have voting rights in town elections. I have been a boater for years and my recent sailing with the spray was the best experience I have had with the greenheads. I was completely comfortable and not bitten up, at all.

The ceramic Honey Bee Hotels are made in Bridgeton, NJ by our friend, Amy. She researched the correct size hole to fit mason bees, the ones that actually make honey, and provides a little topper for shade for them. We had a great time designing the hotels and the customers love them.   Amy also sells her ceramics locally and at the Willow and Main Store in Greenwich, NJ.

Our local carpenter friend, Fred, makes our garden hods in Greenwich, NJ. We worked together during the winter months to design them. They serve as both our display boxes but are also perfect for collecting the produce from the garden and the flowers.  He also sells his carved and custom products locally and at the West End Garage in Cape May, NJ.

Josh makes our custom-designed garden tool bags in Collingswood, NJ. We source the fabric from a 5th generation family of waxed canvas producers in Bridgeton, NJ. Josh creates the beautiful bags with his superb stitching and adds sturdy but elegant leather accents. Josh also sells his products at https://redwooddurable.com and at local market fairs in the Philadelphia region.

Our gardener’s soap and seed balls are made by our friend Jamie in Port Norris, NJ. She is an herbalist, native plant gardener, community activist and all-over talent. She grows much of what she creates and her products are very popular.

Can I find your products in a shop?

While we don’t have a brick and mortar store, we show up at a number of farmer’s markets in the summer in S. Jersey and we sell online. The markets are run by South Jersey Preservation in Cumberland and Salem counties and Rea’s Farm in West Cape May. We can also arrange for your orders to be shipped to you, picked up in Bridgeton, NJ, or we can meet up for product pickup. We are working on getting our products in a few stores. They currently are in BelFlora Designs in Spring Lake, NJ, with a limited selection.

What’s the best way to take care of the W.W. product line of tools?

First, some folks are purists when it comes to caring for their tools and some are not. The CobraHead weeding tool is powder coated so it won’t rust. It can be hung up dirty or clean and it will do just fine. The steel tools, the ones meant to last about 200 years (not kidding), can rust. We personally have never gotten into the habit of cleaning our tools. They are outside all year long and we use them just the same. We have customers who still have the same spade they bought 40 years ago (really). If you want, you can clean them off after each use and occasionally spray a clear coat on them to provide some protection. We live with the belief that tools are meant to be used and get dirty and we know they will outlive us, so we don’t really dwell on how they look day-to-day.

Are gift certificates available?

Yes! You can purchase them right here on the site and they are good for 1 year from purchase.
