We have clay based soil with tons of mature landscaping. When you start digging you never know what you’re going to find. I have been thru numerous shovels, spades, and hoes from different manufacturers snapping and breaking each one. I loved finding Stefanie at the flower show, her knowledge and honest approach to getting me the right tool was wonderful. The footpads are a genius idea and give you greater ability to get deeper into the soil. The spade has an axe like sharp edge cutting thru dogwood roots, and holly tree roots easily. All the connection areas are soldered together, giving strength to where base meets spade, and around handle area. If your looking for quality garden equipment that will stand the test of time you will be thrilled with this family’s company.
